Happy September!

Hello and happy September!!

Yes, it has been officially ages since my last post, but I am back on to remedy that! First things first, a couple of announcements!

1. I am working on a new blog!!! It is currently not ready, but it should launch sometime next year! (Fingers crossed!) I also hope to start selling my watercolor art off the blog!
2. There will be a co-authored snippet series when that new blog launches!! It is still being edited, but I can tell you right now…It is epic! (There will be more about this later.)
3. I would LOVE to know who would be interested in writing-related blog posts. Posts with advice, tips, and tricks about the writing craft. Please let me know in the comments!
4. I hope to be posting once a week. If you have any suggestions on topics, please let me know!

Okay! And now for the grand reveal…a teaser for the upcoming snippet series!

The following is an excerpt written by Ruby Miner and Grace Schroepfer.

 As the man’s resounding laughter bounced painfully into his head, he reached into the stone ruins and pulled out a large, shining object.

 It was the heart of the stone, a perfectly rounded gem that dazzled his eyes. To his dismay, it was broken in half.

 Just like his world would be very soon.

 He stuffed it into his breast pocket before the ugly thug of a man saw anything.

 He dropped to his knees, feeling the pain in his head growing until he felt an odd sort of numbness.

 He tried to think of his daughter’s name.

But he couldn’t remember.

He stifled a sob. 

 Very soon, he wouldn’t even remember himself.

“You are in great danger. You and everyone on this island. This message can only be seen once, so listen carefully if you value your lives.”

Great danger? 

More goosebumps.

What have I gotten myself into?

The man stopped momentarily. 

Nathan stared up at him. He had forgotten what it meant to breathe. The stone he carried was no longer a blessing, a gift.

It was a message of danger. 

That he had been carrying with him.

“There is a curse on this island.

Within the first full moon, everyone on this island will have forgotten everything. Who they are, who they were, what they did, everything. Only you and your friend will have memories. But they will only be partial ones, fragmented remembrances, hopes, and dreams.”

Friend? 

Keira?

Nope.

“But, after five years, on the eve of the first full moon, the last thread of magic holding the island together will collapse, and without it, everything that lives and breathes on the island will die.”

The man paused, his smooth voice low and clear. 

“You must follow the clues to the only man who can end the curse.”

The man looked down for a moment. When he looked up, his eyes hardened.

Nathan’s heart crumbled.

He was carrying a curse.

A curse.

Here is a little summary for you.
